Prophet of Doom Arrested: Ebo Noah’s Failed Christmas Apocalypse Sub-headlines
Ghanaian police detain self-styled prophet after failed Christmas apocalypse prediction
Ghana Police Detain Prophet Ebo Noah Over Viral End-of-World Prediction
Ebo Noah, the Ghanaian preacher who captured worldwide attention with his apocalyptic prophecy, has been taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service.
Noah claimed he had received a divine vision that the world would be destroyed by a massive flood on Christmas Day, 2025. In preparation, he built two large arks and invited followers to join him in escaping the supposed deluge.
The prophecy spread rapidly online, drawing global curiosity and local devotion. Reports indicate that many of his followers sold their belongings to prepare for the promised salvation.

However, when Christmas Day arrived, the world remained intact. Noah then announced that “heaven would not open that day,” claiming God had postponed the apocalypse to allow him more time to build additional arks.
According to Ghanaian outlet, Noah was arrested on New Year’s Eve under the orders of the Inspector General of Police.
The Special Cyber Vetting team carried out the operation, though details of the charges remain unclear. Authorities believe the arrest is connected to his failed prophecy and the mass confusion it caused.
This is not Noah’s first encounter with law enforcement. Earlier in 2025, he was briefly detained but released after officials ruled that making religious prophecies did not constitute a criminal offense.
His latest arrest, however, underscores growing concerns about the societal impact of viral doomsday predictions and the vulnerability of followers who place faith in self-styled prophets.
