True Worshippers Church marks last Sunday of 2025 with powerful message on God’s mercy, thanksgiving, and giving

The Pastor of True Worshippers Church, Rev. Niyi Adebayo, has admonished Christians to cultivate the spirit of gratitude, noting that everything received from God is a product of His mercy and not entitlement.

Rev. Adebayo delivered the charge on Sunday, December 28, during a special Thanksgiving Service held at the church auditorium to mark the last Sunday of the year 2025.

In his message, the cleric emphasized the centrality of God’s mercy in human existence, stating that “the difference between a normal human being and a mad person is the mercy of God.” He urged believers to remain grateful for their lives, health, and daily provisions, warning against taking God’s grace for granted.

The man of God further charged Christians not to feel entitled to any gift or blessing received from God, but to continually acknowledge His grace and count themselves privileged beneficiaries of divine mercy.

Speaking from the Scripture in Luke 17:11–19, which recounts the story of the ten lepers healed by Jesus, Rev. Adebayo highlighted that only one returned to give thanks, noting that his gratitude sealed his miracle. According to him, thanksgiving attracts completeness and sustains divine blessings.

Rev. Adebayo also described giving as a practical expression of gratitude to God, as the church exchanged gifts during the service in celebration of God’s faithfulness throughout the year.

The sermon concluded with special prayers in line with the ongoing 31 Days Prophetic Prayers being streamed live on Rev. Niyi Adebayo’s Facebook page.

The thanksgiving service ended on a high note with praise and worship, as hymns and songs of thanksgiving were led by the church’s praise team. Worshippers gathered in large numbers to appreciate God for His love, protection, and mercy throughout 2025, creating an atmosphere filled with heartfelt gratitude.
