Primate Ndukuba Urges Families to Serve God Wholeheartedly
Primate Calls Families to Total Surrender
The Primate of All Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Henry C. Ndukuba, has urges families to reject idolatry and serve God with total commitment, calling Christian homes to remain faithful to biblical values in a changing world.
He delivered the charge during the February 2026 Standing Committee Meeting of the Anglican Communion. The meeting held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Osumenyi, Anambra State.
Serving God Is Not Optional
Speaking on the theme, “Serve the Lord: Imperative for the Family under God” (Joshua 24:14–15), Primate Ndukuba stressed that wholehearted service to God remains non-negotiable.
He warned that divided loyalty weakens spiritual growth. Quoting Matthew 6:24, he reminded families that no one can serve two masters. According to him, believers must choose God over materialism and cultural compromise.

Church Reaffirms Biblical Family Values
The Primate also reaffirmed the Church’s commitment to biblical standards of marriage and family life.
He restated the Church of Nigeria’s firm rejection of same-sex marriage and other practices it considers unbiblical. He explained that such doctrinal disputes led to the formation of Global Anglican Future Conference, GAFCON.
GAFCON, he said, continues to defend orthodox Christian faith against revisionist teachings within global Anglicanism.
Primate Commends Host Diocese
In his closing remarks, Primate Ndukuba praised the host bishop, Rt. Rev’d Ephraim Okechukwu Ikeakor, and his wife, Dame Nkem Ikeakor.
He thanked the clergy and members of the Amichi Diocese for their warm hospitality and excellent organization. He described the meeting as spiritually enriching and impactful for all participants.
