Prophetic praise replaces prayer chains as Hallelujah Challenge countdown begins February 8–9, 2026.
Popular gospel singer and worship leader, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, has announced a groundbreaking edition of the Pre-Hallelujah Challenge, revealing that the 2026 countdown will feature the first-ever 24-hour non-stop prophetic praise.
According to the announcement, the Pre-Hallelujah Challenge will run from Sunday, February 8 at 6:00 PM to Monday, February 9 at 6:00 PM (WAT). Unlike previous editions that ended with intense prayer chains, this year’s focus will be continuous prophetic praise.
Explaining the shift, Pastor Bassey emphasized the spiritual power of praise, declaring that “Judah is a strategy. Praise is a weapon.” He noted that spiritual intelligence lies in knowing when to pray and when to praise, adding that this edition is “not business as usual.”
Drawing inspiration from Judges 1:2, which states, “And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand,” the worship leader said the posture of Judah—praise—has been chosen to pave the way for victory, breakthroughs, and divine manifestations ahead of the Hallelujah Challenge.
Selected hours of the 24-hour prophetic praise will be streamed live, while participants across the globe are encouraged to actively join in lifting prophetic sounds unto God.
The Hallelujah Challenge remains one of the largest online Christian worship movements, drawing millions of participants worldwide.
